Terrence Carrier 1873 - 1874Terrence Carrier was born in Cambridge, VT on Dec 5, 1827 a son of Patrick and Bridget (O’Neil) Carrier. He became a resident of Grant County in 1855 at which time he engaged in farming in the Muscoda area. In 1858 he moved to Boscobel and engaged in the trade of wagon maker. Failing health obliged him to seek a change in occupation and he became a hotel man, being landlord of the leading hotel in Boscobel for 10 years. Mr. Carrier, a Republican, formerly a Whig, has held various local and county offices, has served on the county board, acted as president of the village, and has been generally regarded as a man of more than usual ability and character.
